July UFO Day

The July workshop was cancelled due to lack of interest and as we had the room available we decided to have another UFO day.  Some of the same people came again plus a couple of others.
While some of the committee took the opportunity to sort out the library, the rest of us used the time to catch up on our own projects.

Photo above is some of the ladies hard at work.

Jennifer  is making a blue and white quilt for her son and
future daughter in law's wedding present.
Annette  worked on her pineapple project that was
started in a workshop by Juliet Fitness.
Julie put the bindings on her kaleidescope quilt.
Jennifer was concentrating hard on her 12x12 Challenge.
Liz is also making a quilt as a wedding present and put the
blocks together.
Lynn put the borders on her WQC block of the month
quilt from last year.
Claire worked on her mystery quilt from Quilters Dream.
Jean's work in progress.  A mystery quilt also.
There was a lot of consultation amongst the group and
with breaks for tea, coffee and food, it was a very enjoyable day.

June Meeting

At the June meeting, it was a hands on evening.
The members were asked to bring fabric and their
sewing kits and the pattern was supplied to make these
cloth flowers.
The fabric for the raffle quilt was displayed.  The working bee
to make it is the 13th August.
