November Meeting 2013

It is hard to believe that another year has passed.
We had our last meeting of the year and our Christmas breakup.

October Meeting

The months are flying by now.
  One more meeting and then it is Christmas.
The committees challenge this month was a quilt made with
traditional paper piecing.

 Craig's magnificant Mariner's Compass.
 Andrea is making this for a very sick friend.
 Sue's log cabin quilt made from old shirts.
 Judithea made this for a friend using fabric from a bathroom.
Once washed she only managed to save the coloured strips.
 Pat made this in a class
 The raffle quilt completed.  Tickets on sale in January 2014
 Trudy showed some of the fabric she dyed in Bev Cooke's
class.

September Meeting 2013

Sorry the blog editor has only just managed to update the blog from last months meeting.
It was a horrible stormy night and there weren't a lot of members who ventured out.
I must say the drive home for me was a little hair raising as I live way out in the bush.
This months committee challenge was quilts using fabric/embroidery.
Sheryle brought a Leanne's House quilt with embroidery.

August Meeting 2013

Sorry there was no post for July but I did not attend the meeting.
 The Communities Challenge this month was reverse applique.
This is Pat's.

June Meeting 2013

It was a cold night but as usual a good number of members turned out for this month's meeting.
It was hand over night for our community quilts to Age Concern.

Eastern Promise Workshop with Anna Williams

This weekend we had Anna Williams come and teach us her Eastern Promise class.
It was 2 days of great instruction and fun techniques.
There were eight ladies in the class and I am sure I speak for all
of them when I say it was a very good weekend and we all produced some
lovely work.  I look forward to seeing them all completed.
