Challenge 2013

Quilts Across the Ranges is over for another year.
It was very successful with over 600 people through.
Every year there is a Challenge and this years' was "Reflections" and must contain
some tulle.  There was even a special prize for the best use of tulle.
1st place was won by Jules with "Spinout"
2nd, Juliet with "Upcycling Irish Dance Dresses"
3rd, Imaginative Imogen (use of tulle) Award and
Apprehensive Abigail (First time entrant) Award
 Lynne with "City Reflections"
Never the Winner But Always Hopeful Award

Show this weekend

The WQC 3 day exhibition started yesterday.

February Meeting, 2013

The Committee's Challenge was "Tessellation Quilt"
 Grania was the only one who brought something for this month's challenge.
Val with her Celtic Alphabet from a workshop.

CAB window display, March 2013

Western Quilters Circle has a display in the CAB window at Glen Eden this month.

as the photos don't really show the display to its' best due to

Community Quilt Day, Feb 2013

Every year Western Quilters Circle donates quilts to a charity.
Over the year blocks are made by the members and in February 
a workshop is held to put these blocks together.
 This year this was attended by Jackie (photo above), Karen, Pat
Jane, Kath, Margaret, Juliet, Dianne, Andrea, Karen, Jean and Denise.
